Liver Kampo, Sho-saiko-to, SST, Xiao Chai Hu Tang, Minor Buplureum Decoction are all names of the same famous Chinese herbal formula, first recorded in the classic herbal text "Treatise on Febrile Diseases Caused by Cold" (Shang Han Lun). Today almost 2,000 years later it remains one of the most useful and most prescribed herbal formula in the world. Treating a wide range of liver and Gallbladder disorders. This classical formula is comprised of Bupleurum Root, Pinellia Tuber, Ginger, Scutellaria Root, Jujube, Ginseng and Licorice.
This is a Alcohol-Free Extract. Liquid extract are better absorbed. Another important feature is that other commercial herbal formulas are alcohol extracted (the classical Chinese formula is a water decoction) and contain alcohol as a preservative. In Traditional Chinese Medicine alcohol is hot and phlegm forming and damages the liver and the gallbladder - the 2 organs this formula is trying to help. Therefore our extract does not contain alcohol. We use glycerin. Glycerin is a well respected solvent and preservative and actually has health benefits as well. Additionally, since we custom extract our herbal formulas we can custom tailor the herbal formula to best suit your individual needs. The same as in the studies listed below.
Typical dosage: 10 drops per 100 pounds before or between meals, in a glass of warm pure water. Taken 2-3 times a day. Each bottle is 2 fluid ounce and may last 30 days
