We came across this tea from a great many kombucha brewers who were looking for a caffeine free tea for brewing their kombucha mushroom. We tried it and we are pleasantly surprised at the results. The taste as a simple tea is very refreshing. When brewed with the kombucha produces a distinct pleasant taste reminisces of Thai Iced Tea.

Rooibos Tea is not "Camellia Sinensis". Not a real tea. It is a herbal tea, so the benefits - can not be compared to real tea (Camellia Sinensis). Rooibos is a natural herb from South Africa, where it is also known as “Red Bush”. As such it is an excellent tea for Mormons, contains no caffeine and is very healthy. As far as I know it has not been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. However it would have many applications both as a pleasant tea to drink, as well as a tincture or salve for various dermatus diseases. Beneficial in the treatment of high blood pressure, diabetes, mellitus, atherosclerosis, allergic diseases, various dermatus diseases, liver diseases and cataracts.
Rooibos can strongly be recommended for people suffering from irritability, headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, insomnia, nervous tension, mild depression or hypertension, as it contains no caffeine and has a soothing effect on the central nervous system. Benefits the stomach and indigestive problems like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach ulcers and constipation. Has anti-spasmodic properties, thus relieving stomach cramps and colic in infants. A benefit in the management of allergies like hay fever, asthma and eczema. Rooibos has a soothing effect on the skin, relieving itching and certain skin irritations like eczema, nappy rash and acne when directly applied to the affected area.
