It is easy and simple to make your own kombucha Tea. I find it enjoyable and relaxing even after doing so for over 20 years.
To make a gallon of Kombucha Tea. Simply boil water, add one cup of sugar, add 4-5 t-bags, add the Kombucha Culture (SCOBY or mother) and one cup of starter tea (previous brewed Kombucha Tea) Set aside in a quiet place and leave undisturbed for 7-14 days. Presto - your personal health elixir.
Kombucha is simple fermented sugar and tea. Here in the south (North Carolina) folks love Sweet Tea. That is what you really start with - just have to add some kombucha culture starter, set aside for a spell and harvest when you’re ready.
