RE; Expiration dates on Unsold Soda Station Sparkling Water & Soda Maker Bottles.

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. places expiration dates the plastic on the plastic bottles used with its Soda Station Sparkling Water & Soda Maker Bottles so that as to limit potential degradation of the plastic as a result of age, repeated pressurization from CO2 exposure  to sunlight, exposure to heat, repeated cleaning and other potential abuse of the bottle.

For bottles, unsold and not already placed in consumer use as of June 15, 2016. Hamilton Beach will extend the useful life of such plastic beverage bottles used with its Soda Station Sparkling Water & Soda maker by a period of 24 months from the expiration date printed on each bottle.  During this extended 24-month period the bottles will be safe for their intended usage when used in accordance with the accompanying Use & Care guide. 

note: You can use your own Glass bottles with the Fizzini. -- not as effective but simple and easy. If you're going to drinking your sparkling elixir right away there's need to cap.  Remember the colder your liquid is the more the CO2 stays in the liquid and doesn't escape.
